Tour Summary

Experience the natural beauty of Tanzania, Arusha National Park spot the inquisitive blue monkeys and colourful turacos and trogons – the only place on the northern safari circuit where the acrobatic black-and-white colobus monkey is easily seen. In the midst of the forest stands the spectacular Ngurdoto Crater, whose steep, rocky cliffs enclose a wide marshy floor dotted with herds of buffalo and warthog. Tarangire home of huge herds of Elephants and the Giant baobab trees. Journey into the Ngorongoro Crater, a stunningly beautiful conservation area with a remarkable diversity of wildlife – it boasts nearly 25,000 species, the Serengeti and its endless plains and home to the big cats.

Safari Program

Day  1: Arrival day.

Arrive in the early evening on KLM into Kilimanjaro International Airport, after customs and immigration formalities, You will Meet by Africa Nature Photography & Safaris team and transfer to a lodge.
Overnight at African View Lodge.

Day  2: School Visit-Lunch-Arusha National Park.

Breakfast at the lodge and followed by safari briefing from your Professional Safari Guide and thereafter visit a local primary school where you may want to participate in brief teaching, you may want to donate to the school children in form of pencils, pens, sharpeners, etc. You will have lunch at a local Restaurant. Afternoon drive to  Arusha National park for  a game drive.  Arusha National Park is a gem of varied ecosystems and spectacular views of Mt. Meru, the crater that gives the region its name. The small national park includes the slopes, summit, and ash cone of Mt. Meru, the Momela Lakes, Ngurdoto Crater, and the lush highland forests that blanket its lower slopes. Game viewing around the Momela Lakes is at a laid-back and quiet pace with lots of Flamingos and other birds around, while passing through the forest you will stop to search for troupes of rare Black & White colobus monkeys playing in the canopy.

You will return to your lodge late afternoon.

Day 3: Arusha-Tarangire National Park.

After Breakfast, we will load the luggage to your safari car and Drive south through Arusha to prehistoric-looking Tarangire National Park and you will arrive at your safari lodge in time for lunch. After your hot Lunch at your Hotel, You will have the afternoon game viewing into a landscape dotted with baobab trees and umbrella-thorn acacias, visiting the Silalei Swamp and Tarangire River is the centerpiece of this park which is famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. In the dry season large numbers of animals congregate along the lifeblood of the river.  Here you may see lion, leopard, cheetah, lesser kudu, buffalo, Oryx, eland, giraffe and zebra. In addition to the animal species, the park is famous for its century-old baobab trees and over 300 species of birds.in the park visiting the Tarangire River is the centerpiece of this park, which is famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. In the dry season large numbers of animals congregate along the lifeblood of the river.

Day  4:  Exploring Tarangire National Park.

Full day game viewing at Tarangire national park and

we will break the day into two by having a morning and Afternoon game viewing, visiting the Silalei

Swamp and Tarangire River is the centerpiece of this park which is famous for some of the largest herds

river.  Here you may see lion, leopard, cheetah, Greater and lesser kudu, buffalo, Oryx, eland, giraffe and zebra. Dinner & Overnight at Tarangire View Camp.

Day 5:  Tarangire Mto Wa Mbu Ngorongoro Crater.

After breakfast you will visit a local Maasai village, the Maasai tribe is one of the few tribes that still embrace and are proud of their tradition, thereafter continue short drive to MtoWaMbu village for a cultural tour including a visit to the banana rice plantations. You will have lunch with a local family and sample delicious African food. Afternoon drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House or Similar.

Day  6: Exploring Ngorongoro Crater.

An early start and you will Collect breakfast and lunch boxes, at around 05:45 and descend into the crater for an in-depth exploration of this distinctive eco-system. Enjoy abundant wildlife viewing set against the impressive backdrop of the Ngorongoro Crater, the heart of the conservation area. These drives provide one of the best opportunities in Africa to view black rhino, which tend to spend their time on the crater floor. Ngorongoro Crater is one of the world’s greatest natural spectacles; its magical setting and abundant wildlife never fail to enthrall visitors. Another big draw card to this picturesque Caldera, is it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, and if Lucky enough you will have chance to see the small cats like the Rare Caracal, Seval cat as well as the African wild cat which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. Picnic breakfast will be served at one of the picnic site at the crater floor, Followed by another game viewing visiting the hippo pool near the Mandusi Swamp, Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner which is one of the main features of the crater, the lerai forest as well as other parts of the crater.

Dinner & Overnight at  Ngorongoro Farm House or Similar.

Day 7: Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park.

Breakfast at the lodge, Pack and leave the lodge and drive to Olduvai Gorge. The Olduvai gorge is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world. Known as the cradle of mankind, the gorge stretches for nearly 50 km from Ndutu to the Olbalbaldeprecions. The Leakeys are the Archeologists responsible for most of the excavations and discoveries at Olduvai Gorge. They unearthed about 60 different hominid remains dating back from 2 millions years ago to 17,000 years ago. The remains of about 7,000 extinct animal species have also been unearthed and moulds of some of these artifacts can be seen in the small on-site museum. We will arrange for a private tour of the older excavation sites escorted by one of the museum docents. Continue with the drive to Serengeti and you will arrive at the lodge in time for dinner.

Day 8: and 9:  Exploring Serengeti National Park.

A game viewing around Central Serengeti plains and You have an options of breaking the days into two by doing Early morning and late afternoon game viewing, drive through the central Serengeti in the golden light of dawn looking for special wildlife interactions and photographic opportunities, whereby, You will depart the Lodge at first light with a picnic breakfast for a big day in search of the biggest herds of the great migrations. Alternatively, as usually you may choose to enjoy a more leisurely breakfast at the camp instead of a picnic breakfast and depart with picnic lunches for a full day of game viewing exploring different areas of the central serengeti. Areas that will be visited are the Retima Hippo pool, maasai and sametu kopjes and plains as well as Moru and Gol Kopjes. The Central Serengeti and seronera river valley is home to a great diversity of wildlife due to its unique ecological niches as a transition zone where two distinctly different habitats, the plain and the woodlands merge and various species of wildlife from both habitats can coexist.

Day 10:  Bush Flight to Arusha,

Early breakfast at the camp and then leave the camp for Seronera Airstrip with game Viewing route. Domestic Flight from Seronera to Arusha. Stop at

cultural heritage for lunch and an optional shopping, and then drive to the lodge for a Day use room, followed by an early dinner at River Tree Country Inn before driving to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight back home.
