Lake Tanganyika

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Lake Tanganyika is the world’s longest (660km), deepest in Africa and second-deepest in the world (more than 1436m) and second-largest (by volume) freshwater lake.

At somewhere between nine and 13 million years old, it’s also one of the oldest. Thanks to its age and ecological isolation it’s home to an exceptional number of endemic fish, including 98% of the 250-plus species of cichlids.

Cichlids are popular aquarium fish due to their bright colors, and they make Tanganyika an outstanding snorkeling and diving destination.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″ offset=”vc_col-lg-offset-0 vc_col-lg-3 vc_col-md-offset-3 vc_col-md-6 vc_col-sm-offset-3″][vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id=”page-sidebar”][vc_empty_space height=”70px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row content_aligment=”center” triangle_shape=”no” css=”.vc_custom_1538641085585{padding-top: 60px !important;padding-bottom: 60px !important;background-color: #e2e2e2 !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/3″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][mkd_interactive_image animate_image_on_hover=”no” add_checkmark=”no” link=”#” image=”3184″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][mkd_interactive_image animate_image_on_hover=”no” add_checkmark=”no” link=”http://41.59.225.90:9594/frmLicenseCompanies2.aspx” image=”3130″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][mkd_interactive_image animate_image_on_hover=”no” add_checkmark=”no” link=”https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g297913-d12708641-Reviews-Africa_Nature_Photography_Safaris-Arusha_Arusha_Region.html” image=”3128″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
