Kirawira Migration Tour
The migrating herds undergo all manner of challenges and hardships as they move from region to region, and are constantly under attack from predators, none more so than from Africa’s big cats and the notoriously huge crocodiles that lie in wait at Grumeti river crossing points in the Western Serengeti.

Day 1: Arrival day.
Leave home for your trip to Tanzania. Arrive in the early evening on KLM into Kilimanjaro International Airport. You will Meet by Africa Nature Photography & Safaris team and transfer to a Hotel in Arusha City for overnight.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park.
After Breakfast, we will load the luggage to your safari car and Drive south through Arusha to prehistoric-looking Tarangire National Park and you will arrive at your safari lodge in time for lunch. After your hot Lunch at your Hotel, You will have the afternoon game viewing into a landscape dotted with baobab trees and umbrella-thorn acacias, visiting the Silalei Swamp and Tarangire River is the centrepiece of this park which is famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. In the dry season, large numbers of animals congregate along the life-giving river that provide the only permanent water for wildlife in the area. Here you may see lion, leopard, cheetah, lesser kudu, buffalo, Oryx, eland, giraffe and zebra. In addition to the animal species, the park is famous for its century-old baobab trees and over 300 species of birds.in the park visiting the Tarangire River is the centerpiece of this park, which is famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. In the dry season large numbers of animals congregate along the life-giving river.

Day 3: Exploring Tarangire National Park
A full day game viewing at Tarangire national park, visiting the Silalei Swamp and Tarangire River is the centerpiece of this park, which is famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. The Silale swamp acts as a giant sponge during the green season and slowly releases water during the dry season attracting thousands of animals. In the dry season large numbers of animals congregate along the life-giving river and simply make the Tarangire River and the silale swamp serves as a place of refuge for the largest elephant population in northern Tanzania. Here you may see lion, leopard, cheetah, Greater and lesser kudu, buffalo, Oryx, eland, giraffe and zebra. In addition to the animal species, the park is famous for its century-old baobab trees and over 300 species of birds.

Day 4: Masai Village-Cultural Tour- Ngorongoro.
After breakfast you will visit a local Maasai village, the maasai tribe is one of the few tribes that still embrace and are proud of their tradition, thereafter continue short drive to MtoWaMbu village for a cultural tour including a visit to the banana rice plantations. You will have lunch with a local family and sample delicious African food. Afternoon drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House or Similar.
Day 5: Exploring Ngorongoro Crater.
An early start and you will Collect breakfast and lunch boxes, at around 05:45 and descend into the crater for an in-depth exploration of this distinctive eco-system. Enjoy abundant wildlife viewing set against the impressive backdrop of the Ngorongoro Crater, the heart of the conservation area. These drives provide one of the best opportunities in Africa to view black rhino, which tend to spend their time on the crater floor. Ngorongoro Crater is one of the world’s greatest natural spectacles; its magical setting and abundant wildlife never fail to enthrall visitors. Another big draw card to this picturesque Caldera, is it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, and if Lucky enough you will have chance to see the small cats like the Rare Caracal, Seval cat as well as the African wild cat which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. Picnic breakfast will be served at one of the picnic site at the crater floor, Followed by another game viewing visiting the hippo pool near the Mandusi Swamp, Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner which is one of the main features of the crater, the lerai forest as well as other parts of the crater.

Day 6, 7 & 8: Central Serengeti.
Breakfast at the lodge. Pack and leave the lodge for drive to Central Serengeti with game viewing drive en-route. You will spend your next two exploring the vast Serengeti and its endless plains. You have an options of breaking the days into two by doing Early morning and late afternoon game viewing, drive through the central serengeti in the golden light of dawn looking for special wildlife interactions and photographic opportunities, whereby, You will depart the Lodge at first light with a picnic breakfast for a big day in search of the biggest herds of the great migrations. Alternatively, as usually you may choose to enjoy a more leisurely breakfast at the camp instead of a picnic breakfast and depart with picnic lunches for a full day of game drives exploring different areas of the central serengeti. Areas that will be visited are the Retima Hippo pool, maasai and sametu kopjes and plains as well as Moru and Simba kopjes. The Central Serengeti and seronera river valley is home to a great diversity of wildlife due to its unique ecological niches as a transition zone where two distinctly different habitats, the plain and the woodlands merge and various species of wildlife from both habitats can coexist.

Day 9 and 10: Western Serengeti
After breakfast we head towards the western reaches of the Serengeti National Park, also known as the Western Corridor. We will do a game drive en-route from the Seronera area to the Western Corridor area.
We arrive in time for lunch at the lodge and after lunch will we enjoy an afternoon game drive in the area. The wildebeest migration can normally be found in the Western Corridor area in June, depending on rainfall patterns.
Dinner and overnight at Mbalageti Safari Lodge.
Day 11: Bush Flight
Early breakfast at the camp and then leave the camp for Grumeti Airstrip with game drives enroute. Bush Flight from Grumeti to Arusha. Stop at cultural heritage for lunch and an optional shopping, and then drive to African view lodge for a Day room. An early dinner at River Tree Country Inn before driving to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight back Home.
